Ingrowing Toe Nails
Assessed and treated in clinic, with nail surgery available where it is the right answer rather than the first one.
HCPC Registered · Est. 2010
A family run chiropody and podiatry clinic on Golborne High Street. Three generations of the same family, fifteen years in the same place, and patients who have been coming since the day we opened.

What we treat
From the routine appointment you book every couple of months to nail surgery carried out on the premises. If you are not sure which you need, ring and ask. We would rather tell you it is nothing than have you sit on it.
Assessed and treated in clinic, with nail surgery available where it is the right answer rather than the first one.
Carried out on the premises by an HCPC registered podiatrist, with aftercare and follow up appointments included.
Build up of hard skin reduced and the cause looked at, so you are not back in the same chair every few weeks.
Removed properly and comfortably, with advice on the footwear or pressure point that caused them.
Diagnosed and treated, including the stubborn ones that have not shifted with anything off the shelf.
Assessment and treatment of fungal nail infections, one of the treatments India qualified in.
How you walk gets looked at properly, with insoles made up where they will genuinely help.
Routine nail care and hard skin removal, the appointment most people come back for every six to eight weeks.

The clinic
Patients describe the clinic as immaculate, modern and warm, and that is deliberate. Nobody looks forward to a foot appointment, so the least we can do is make the twenty minutes before it comfortable.
The family
Celia opened the practice in November 2010 after leaving the NHS. Her daughter India is now a qualified Foot Healthcare Practitioner, and her mum Janice is the one who books you in and puts the kettle on.

BSc (Hons) Podiatric Medicine, MChS, HCPC Registered
Celia graduated from the University of Salford with a bachelor of science degree with honours in Podiatric Medicine, and opened My Local Chiropodist in November 2010. Fifteen years on she is still the person most patients ask for by name.
PAFHP qualified Foot Healthcare Practitioner
Celia's daughter, who has been part of the practice since she was nine, starting on reception and now fully qualified. India treats ingrowing toe nails, callus, corns, verrucas and fungal nail.
Born and bred in Golborne
Celia's mum, on reception. Known for her local knowledge, a cup of tea on arrival, and running the odd errand for patients while they are having their feet done.
If you cannot get to us
Plenty of the people who need a chiropodist most are the least able to travel to one. Home visits are available across Golborne, Lowton and the surrounding areas, and we take on nursing home and commercial contracts.
The same treatment in your own front room, for patients who cannot comfortably get into the clinic.
Nursing home and commercial contracts welcome. Regular visits arranged to suit the home's routine.
Thursdays run to 9pm and Saturdays to 4:30pm, so an appointment need not cost you a day's work.
